Discussion of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan students affairs with high officials in Tsinghua

The meeting is held in “Gong Zi Ting”, a building representing the central power of “high officials” in Tsinghua. It may also symbolize the special identity of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan students in Tsinghua. The school has tried to help these students to overcome the difficulties they meet due to great change in learning environment, but the outcome is not so satisfactory, especially in the problem of low exam scores. It seems to me that the officials have already made up their own decision in how to solve the problems, thus the meeting is not that meaningful. I always wonder how much the leaders would listen to the students in this type of meeting. Anyway, in my last year at Tsinghua, I’ll try best to share my experiences, thoughts and feelings with the Hong Kong students who face a lot of hardships, and Biology students who just care about exams too much and lost their interest and curiosity.
