Setting up a new behavioral system in lab

In my last post, I said that the work for my graduation thesis was rather tedious. To make my lab life more interesting, I am trying to set up a visual associative learning system by myself. Still, I should remind myself that, although the very first steps are exciting because creativity and new explorations are involved, the work will become gradually tedious when it comes to optimization.
The visual learning system for flies. Flies receive electric shock when they are exposed to a color of light, so that they can remember the color.
